About the UEMS/EUMS

The European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS/EUMS) is a non-governmental organisation based in Brussels representing national associations of medical specialists in the European Union and in associated countries. The UEMS includes sections for all medical specialities and for interdisciplinary areas such as the Multidisciplinary Joint Committees or Thematic Federations.

The most important task of the UEMS sections is to develop EU wide training regulations, the so- called „European Training Requirements (ETR)“, which upon development are made into legislation by the EU Parliament.

The Multidisciplinary Joint Committee - Wound Healing (MJC-WH) has now developed such training regulations for the topic of wound healing. They have been through a long review process and have now been approved and accredited by the UEMS on October 20th 2018 in Brussels.
